Waiver and Safety
We do our best to provide a safe and enjoyable experience, but our riders have some responsibility, too. All riders are required to sign a waiver, releasing Cycle Pub of any liability in the event someone gets a boo boo. The bike only travels about 5 miles per hour, and our drivers are pretty smart, cautious people.
Note: To help us stay on schedule, PLEASE have all members of your group print and sign waivers before you arrive for your tour departure. There's nothing worse than fumbling with waivers and pens as we're getting ready to roll, and losing time on the road!
Book Your Tour Cycle Pub WaiversFAQ
- Where do I start and end my Cycle Pub tour?
Unless otherwise agreed in advance, all tours start and end at Cycle Pub headquarters.
550 SW Industrial Way #199 Bend, Oregon- Can I just jump on when I see the Cycle Pub rolling by?
No, the Cycle Pub always starts and ends at a designated spot, simply because a full crew is required to power the bike from point to point.
- What food and drink can I bring onboard?
Beer and wine are allowed on the Cycle Pub, but NO hard alcohol is permitted. Feel free to bring munchies, too!
- Are kegs allowed on board?
No, it's simply too much beer on board. The beer tap is used exclusively for stationary events such as festivals and concerts.
- What should I bring for my tour?
We provide only the Cycle Pub and driver, so bring items like cups, decorations, ice, food, iPods, growlers, and pub-friendly food like chips and pretzels.
- Do all riders need to be over 21 years of age?
If alcohol is on board, then yes, all riders must be 21 or older. Special tours can be arranged for younger riders, but please call to discuss tour options.
- I'm a group of 6 or less, can we still go?
Absolutely, please email us for details of how that can be possible.
- What hours does the Cycle Pub run?
Tours can begin as early as 10:30 a.m. We schedule a half hour between each tour to assure we have enough time to off-board one group, clean the bike, and on-board the next.
- How do I book and pay for a tour?
See the Book Now page. Use the calendar to navigate to your date, then the drop down menu to see remaining time slots that are available that day. You will see ONLY tour times that have not been booked already. Simply enter your credit card information, choose to make a deposit, or pay in full.
Note: if booking a tour date less than a week away, payment in full must be made.- What is the cancellation policy?
You can cancel 7 days or more from your tour date, and receive a full refund. You can also choose to move your booking and deposit to a future date with notice of 7 days or more. Your deposit will be forfeited if you cancel your tour within 7 days of your scheduled date, but only if we are unable to book a new tour in your place. Pretty fair, we think.
A few rules and comments on safety:
- No glass containers on the bike. Growlers are allowed, but must be stored in the ice chest.
- Helmets are offered, in accordance with Oregon State Law, which is your choice to wear if you're over 16.
- Your captain is the boss and the primary renter is second in command, so please listen to them both.
- No leaving the Cycle Pub or jumping off while in motion. Planned and announced stops only.
- Respect our streets and our town, so no littering, excess noise or general debauchery please.
- A trained Cycle Pub employee is the only individual who can drive the bike.
- Remember the smart and cautious comment above? We'll quickly identify any excess alcohol consumption, and hit the secret eject button under the dashboard.
- Cycle Pub employees are not allowed to sell or serve your beer or wine. BYOB, and feel free to designate your own waiter, waitress or bartender.
- All riders with beer or wine aboard the bike require everyone be 21 or older. ID's are checked at time of departure.
- All rules of the road apply to the Cycle Pub while in motion. Your driver will help everyone stick to them.
If you have any questions regarding tour safety and the rules to follow, give us a call or see your driver before climbing aboard. The waiver and alcohol policy can be found above. Please see that everyone on your tour prints and signs both, and brings them on the day of your tour.
